Immersive Exhibition

The Bassins des Lumières are hosting a new immersive exhibition dedicated to Henri Matisse, one of the boldest colorists in art history. Cutback is responsible for producing the images and the staging, in close collaboration with Virginie Martin, author and artistic director of the show. Over a 45-minute journey structured around chromatic stages—from Fauvism to the Blue Nudes, and on to the stained glass windows of the Chapel of the Rosary—the visual sequences echo the monumental architecture of the former submarine base: four basins measuring 110 meters long, 22 meters wide, and 12 meters high, whose water surfaces multiply each projection, adding a unique sensory depth to the experience.
